Amelia Island Florida

It was pretty quiet today but you can tell this island gets lots of tourists at some point in the year. Lots of road lanes coming in and all kinds of shops.

I spent most of the day at Fort Clinch state park. This has the fort, hiking, biking, and beach access. Nice place to spend the day. I also spent some time in the historical district and the big beach on the East side of the island. I did not bike but there are some nice trails in Fort Clinch state park and also the Egan's Creek Greenway trail. I walked on some of these and they look pretty nice. Around 6 miles of bike trails in park and at least that much outside the park.

Once you get outside the parks people drive and park their cars right on the beach. A Florida thing I guess.

Hot today. High of 80 and lots of humidity. Hard to believe since it is the end of November. I hope it cools down a little tomorrow.
