Millidgeville GA - Fish Cottage

We went to Millidgeville to visit Autumn and David. Their house is about 150 years old and was a plantation house that was once a 3000 acre cotton farm. There are many nice hiking trails around the property. Pecan trees in the yard that are producing a lot this time of year.

We are staying in the Fish Cottage which has a history of its own. It was moved from another location in town. The most recent person who lived there was Mr. Fish. The house was moved by Fish Brothers House Movers! The house was in rough shape. David and Autumn restored the house. A lot of the original wood remains and the doors are original. Very nicely decorated and some of the furniture and furnishings, for example oil lanterns, came from the original house.

We are grateful to be visiting with Autumn and David for three days.

Building down town. Courthouse?
