I started the day at Stephen Foster state park. This is on the West side of the swamp. Many birds in the morning but they were much more skittish than the Hilton Head area. A flock of white egrets flew over the board walk at one point and landed on the other side. As I got closer they would fly just out of reach down the boardwalk. Maybe 50 birds in the flock. A number of trails on this side but more on the East side. Many alligators including a few big ones.
In the afternoon I went back to the East. Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. Went on some new trails and also a repeat of the boardwalk trail at the end of the road. A nice day! About 72 with less humidity than yesterday. Comfortable.
