Tybee Island, Old Town Bluffton

A busy day! There is a tropical storm coming in a few days so I thought I should get out there. I stopped at Old Town Bluffton in the AM. It is smaller than Beaufort and on the May River. Some interesting historical buildings and an oyster business with a person cleaning oysters on the dock.

Next was Tybee Island. Some very nice beach walks. I walked on the North, East, and West sides of the island. Pretty windy and wavy except for the West beach. Unfortunately the light house is closed on Tuesdays so I could not go up it. The island has a high boardwalk that goes out over the ocean. Nice today because you were above big breaking waves. Interesting vantage point.

Savannah in the late afternoon. Amazing how many well maintained historical buildings there are in the city. I walked maybe 5-6 miles starting South of the river and then going up to the river. Something to see almost the entire way. Savannah pictures in a separate post.

Sunrise at Port Royal Sound. We got out before sunrise to see the moon but too many clouds in that part of the sky:

The next two are in rough shape but interesting:
