Eustis ME -> Moultonborough NH

 A travel day with a short hike in the middle.

Campground Summary:

Umbagog State Park:

This is a great place to stay. On the lake and canoe and kayak rentals available. Clean and reasonable showers and bathrooms. Definitely a place to go back to. We were in camp site 24. This is good and level for the van. Site 50 is good also. Closer to the water are 10 and 4. 42 and 43 are nice but may not be level for van.

Mountain View Motel and Campground:

Probably do not want to return to this. Look into Cathedral Pines which was closed this time of year. There are positives to this campground. Nice common areas. Open air covered building and indoor building with kitchen. Camp site 5, where we stayed, was level and good. The owner is nice. The downside is that the common areas are not clean. The bathrooms were OK but not great. Most of this has to do with it being on the AT and there were lots of AT through hikers there. Maybe this would be a better campground at another time of year? We were there at the end of the season when lots of hikers are coming through.
