Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge

The day started with a cloudless sunrise on the beach. Then off to Pinckney Island Wildlife Refuge. This place is always nice. About 15 miles of trails on an island that is just off Hilton Head. Birds, butterfly's, gators. Last year we saw an Alligator right in the middle of the trail while we were biking and turned around. The trail was right next to a pond. This year same thing in same spot. I would imagine it is the same Alligator. Much bigger than me so I took some distance pictures! We also saw some storks in the trees, white egrets, blue herons, ibis and more. Also an armadillo. Nice biking here with dirt and grass. We didn't make it to one beach as it was still close to high tide and the trail was under water. Lots of tiny crabs running along the trail in these lower areas.

Then to Jarvis Park. Lots of life here as well. Warm today at about 80.
