Vermont -> Hilton Head SC

 Two days of travel from VT to SC. Everything went well. No problems just a long way.

The first night we stayed at Natural Chimneys Park and Campground. Nice campground and some interesting limestone spires with caves in them. We got there just before sunset so we were able to see things quickly. There are a number of trails here that would be good to checkout some day.

Pretty warm during the day (80) but when we got to the campground it got comfortable fast. 50 degree night which is ideal. Nice sunset and sunrise the next day. Clear night with stars and moon.

The next day, Friday,  we went up into the Shenandoah Mountains in the early AM. A nice viewpoint we went to last year.

Friday we stopped at The Bog Garden at Benjamin Park. Some elevated boardwalks  and some gardens. This is in Greensboro NC. Amazingly nice lunch stop!

We made it to HH at 6:00. Just in time to watch the nearly full moon and then the sunset from the beach. Return to summer weather. The only problem I can see is returning to VT and jumping into winter without being acclimated!

Travel: Got off 87 in Newburg. Set gps to Milford PA, then to Natural Chimneys. Second day went to Greensboro and then to HHI. Seemed like a good route. Some winding roads and some slower town driving in day 2 but a lot nicer than 95 the whole way.
