The Plan that did not happen

I did have a high level plan for the 3 months from March 1 - June 1. I probably will not have this kind of time slot again but thought it would be worth making some notes anyway.
Skiing: The first 5 weeks was going to be skiing. Heber City is a good close town to Park City which is the main Epic pass place to ski in Utah. I also was going to spend some time at Snowbasin which I have not been to before and is in the same general area. The other focus was Lake Tahoe. So, the first 5 weeks was going to be Utah and Lake Tahoe skiing at Park City, Snowbasin, Heavenly, and Kirkwood. Breckenridge was on the list also but that was going to be in April since they stay open late.
The other 6 weeks or so would be spent exploring parks in the South. Here is the list of the places I was going to go to. Stay at each one as long as needed. I do know from the trip that Death Valley would be a week or more while places like Petrified Forest is fine in one day.

Death Valley - California
Valley of Fire SP - Nevada
Great Basin NP - Nevada
Sedona and Flagstaff - Arizona
Grand Canyon North Rim - Arizona
Monument Valley - Utah
Carlsbad Caverns, Guadalupe mountains - Southern New Mexico and Northern Texas
Great Sand Dunes - Colorado
Big Bend - Southern Texas
Canyon De Chelly National Monument - Arizona
Petrified Forest - Arizona
Saguaro NP, also desert museum near Tucson - Arizona
Moab rent mountain bike - Utah
Zion, Bryce, Capital Reef, Canyonlands NP - Utah

Plenty to see and do here! A lot of things that I missed as I write this. Maybe in another life time.

I think the time frame (March-May) is good for these things. Skiing is typically pretty good in March. Many of these parks would be too hot by May but covering the southern most parks in April would be good and heading to ones further North in May. A lot of parks have significant elevation which allows for cooler temperatures.
