We did a few hikes today all North of Kanab. Red Hollow Slot Canyon was the highlight of the day. A wash going into a slot canyon. Narrow walls at one point with the two walls at the bottom coming together with less than the width of your foot. A short hike, 2 miles, but very good.
The other hike was the Squaw Trail right in the town of Kanab. This was a nice hike up a red Rock Canyon with a number of interesting rock formations. We also stopped at Best Friends animal sanctuary and went to Hidden Lake. Also an amazing lunch with a view. Best friends does a lot of good work with all kinds of animals. They said they had 400- 700 cats there depending on time of year. Not a very interesting hiking area however.
