The forecast called for rain today. It said .2 inches which isn't much. We looked at Fruita, the town, and then went hiking on the Fruita Front Country trails. This is a large area with many trails. We had hiked on a few last year. This year we started with Kodel 1 and 2. The sun came out and we were over dressed and hot. The second hike was Devils 5,1, and 6. It started fine and then turned windy and then rain and snow. All of the sudden we were wet and cold and the trail got very slippery. The red clay soil turns to slippery mud. Interesting area for hiking and we learned a few things about what rainy day in the desert means.
