Another two days at Crested Butte. All three days were blue sky and intensely sunny. Slightly warmer today. Winter snow on top half and Spring at the lower lifts.
Saw mountain sheep on the side of the road driving back from mountain yesterday. Then dinner at Sherpa Cafe. Nepal restaurant with lots of nice Himalayan mountain pictures and climbing maps. They had a bunch of prayer flags in the yard that I was going to check out but when I walked out the door the town looked like it was on fire from the sunset.
Today there were two paragliders circling around. Great distraction while riding the lift.
Crested Butte is worth coming back to. Lots of terrain. Would be great on a powder day. Bus from Gunnison works well and you don't have to drive but it is one hour each way.
Day 3, March 20:
Base area is typically built up. Condos, restaurants, shops, etc. Even a ski valet which is very popular believe it or not.
