I started with a nice hike right from the campground at Dead Horse SP. Along the East side and then back on the West. Nice loop trail with views pretty much the whole time.
Canyonlands in the afternoon. A number of short hikes in different areas of the park. Aztec Butte, Mesa Arch, Green River overlook. I have been to Canyonlands before but there is plenty to do.
I decided to go to both today because the weather was great. Storm may move in tomorrow night with clouds tomorrow?
Explanation of rock layers in canyon. Old! You can find dinosaur prints and bones in this area.
